Rob and Chris Geer have been volunteering to work at the WGVU wine events for over three years now, assisting with clean up after the events are done. “We really enjoy spending time with all the great people from WGVU, especially working with Linda Kennedy and Brad Gordon. Besides all the fun we have at the event, we are glad to be able to help a station that means so much to the community,” said Rob.
In addition to helping at WGVU, Rob and Chris also volunteer at their children’s school coaching an Odyssey of the Mind team as well as other community involvement including being on the board for the Pink Slip Party West Michigan, Career Transition Center West Michigan, University of Michigan Alumni Association and Batten Disease Support and Research Association. They love to travel and spending time with their four children, Nick-12, Jacob-8, Sophia-5 and Joshua-2.
Volunteering is a great opportunity for us to get out of the house and enjoy ourselves, especially Chris. She spends so much time dealing with school, doctor appointments, and all the other issues that arise from Jacob’s diagnosis of Batten Disease and volunteering is also another way of giving back to the community.
Thank you WGVU, we enjoy working with you.
