Joy Chapman is passionate about community education and engagement, public relations and outreach, as well as assisting others to reach their goals. Joy is very active in the community and really enjoys connecting with WGVU’s membership base as a Member Correspondent. Joy has been a long-time supporter of public television and radio, volunteering at WGVU-TV and radio membership drives, fund-raisers and community awareness events. Some of Joy’s favorite programs on PBS include presentations from Dr. Wayne Dyer, Celtic Woman, Masterpiece Theatre and Downton Abbey. She is also an avid listener of NPR.
Joy earned her BSW degree at Grand Valley State University and has an extensive background in marketing, program development and sales. Currently, she is working with several restaurants in the area assisting them with their marketing campaigns. Joy is a lifelong learner and is also completing her credentialing for her ILCT Life Coaching certification and licensure.
Some of Joy’s interests include professional networking, community service, organizing projects, health and wellness, gardening, interior design, gourmet coffee tasting, wine tasting and reading novels, and her newest pastime, horseback riding. She loves spending time with her family and friends and attending her annual family reunion!
