Jackie began at WGVU three years ago with a background in broadcast sales. As a Business Development Coordinator, she sells sponsorship opportunities for our FM NPR stations 88.5 and 95.3.; Real Oldies 1480 and 850 AM; WGVU TV/PBS; and also for WGVU Engage Events.
Prior to coming to WGVU, Jackie spent the past 35 years in the broadcast industry selling commercial radio.
Being an avid news and information “junkie,” her move to WGVU was a natural. “Both NPR and PBS are internationally recognized, award-winning brands of the highest quality. These brands represent cutting edge thought, technology, innovation and I am proud to be a part of it. I am also very proud of the community outreach work WGVU does through our Engage Committee.”
Jackie is currently serving as a member of the Host Committee for WGVU’s Engage Women and Girls Lead, a multi-year, nation-wide innovative public media initiative designed to focus, educate and connect women, girls and their allies across the globe to address the challenges of the 21st Century. Women and Girls Lead will have a booth at the Women’s Expo, March 9th through the 11th. Stop by and say “Hello.”
Born and raised in Grand Rapids, she and is a self-proclaimed “Michigan Girl.” Jackie said, “I tried to move away once, but my heart stayed here… maybe it’s something in the water!”
Jackie lives in Northeast Grand Rapids with her husband, Michael and her two dogs, Walter and Bacon. She loves to travel up north, but always keeps her passport ready – next stop - San Miguel De Allende
